Depardon, Raymond (French photographer and filmmaker, born 1942)
|
Note: Depardon began taking photographs when he was 12, and moved to Paris in 1958. He began a career as a photojournalist in the early 1960s, travelling to Algeria, Vietnam, Biafra, and Chad. He was a founder and member of the agency Gamma, and became the director in 1973. He is a prolific filmmaker, producing many documentary works since 1969. |
