Maringelli (Brazilian painter, printmaker, and engraver, born 1959)
|
Note: Brazilian engraver and painter. In 1985, he graduated in architecture by the Faculdade de Arquitetura de Urbanismo and, in 1990, licensed in Plastic Arts by the Escola de Comunicação e Arte, and the Universidade de São Paulo. In 1980, he entered the Ateliê de Gravura of the Museu Lasar Segall and, in 1994 he received a scholarship of Incentive Research Program Vitae, for the Project relief Engraving in Large Format. Some recurrent themes in his work are landscapes, portraits and the city of São Paulo. He also dedicates himself to the teaching of art and he currently teaches a bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts at the Centro Universitário Belas Artes de São Paulo. |

| Portuguese ..... Gravador e pintor brasileiro. Em 1985 conclui a graduação em arquitetura pela Faculdade de Arquitetura de Urbanismo e, em 1990, o curso de licenciatura em Artes Plásticas pela Escola de Comunicação e Arte, ambas da Universidade de São Paulo. Em 1980 ingressa no Ateliê de Gravura do Museu Lasar Segall e em 1994 torna-se bolsista do programa de incentivo à pesquisa Vitae, pelo Projeto Grandes Formatos na Gravura em Relevo. Alguns temas que percorrem a sua obra são paisagens, gêneros do retrato e a cidade de São Paulo. Dedica-se também ao ensino de arte e atualmente é professor no curso de bacharelado em Artes Visuais do Centro Universitário Belas Artes de São Paulo. |
