Note: Known primarily for his underground films of the late 1970s and early 1980s, which he both directed and acted in. He has also made photographic works, and has exhibited drawings. He was associated with the 'No Wave' movement. Mitchell co-founded New Cinema - a space for screening films, and helped publish 'X Motion Picture Magazine' ca. 1977-1978. |
