Georg Glockendon the Elder was the son of the woodcutter Albrecht Glockendon the Elder; Georg in turn had had two sons, Albrecht the Younger and Nikolaus. Nikolaus had 12 sons (including Gabriel, Georg II, Jakob, Nikolaus, Sebastian and Wolf) who were also artists.
