Bresolin, Domenico (Italian painter and photographer, ca. 1815 - ca. 1899)

Note: Bresolin trained as a landscape painter in Florence under K. Markò. He then worked in Rome before moving to Venice and taking up photography in the 1850s. During the 1850s, Bresolin worked as a photographer for the studio of Carlo Ponti in Venice. In 1864, Bresolin gave up photography and sold his photographic archives to Carlo Ponti. He then took up the position of Professor of Landscape Painting at the Accademia in Venice.
