Calzolari, Pier Paolo (Italian conceptual artist, born 1943)

Note: Known for combining malleable metals, neon tubing, and organic materials in his works. Calzolari did a number of works in which the object was frozen and coated with a layer of frost, playing with the concept of transformation. Other works use sound as an element and are thus both physical objects and temporal experiences. A retrospective exhibition of his work was mounted in Turin and Paris in 1994.
