Master of Figline (Italian painter, active 14th century)

Note: Name refers to a predella panel of the Lamentation (Cambridge, MA, Fogg), around which Offner grouped a series of works. The same artist is also known as the Master of Figline after a large Virgin and Child with Saints in the Collegiata at Figline Valdarno near Florence. His earliest identified work is a fresco from the early 14th century in the sacristy of the lower church at Assisi. Opinion regarding the artist's origins varies.
