Hofman, Vlastislav (Czech designer and architect, 1884-1964)

Note: One of the founding members of the Czech modernist movement. He studied at the Prague Technical University from 1902 to 1907, and began his career in the building department of the Prague magistrate. He was a member of the Artěl Cooperative, the Mánes Association of Plastic Artists, and the Group of Plastic Artists. He embraced a variety of creative outlets and was, variously, a writer, architect, scenographer, and painter. Czech architect, painter, graphic artist.
