Note: Born 7 July 1823; died 4 December 1865. Educated at Dungannon College, Co. Tyrone, Ireland. Entered the Royal Military College, Woolwich, London, in 1839. Commissioned into the Royal Engineers in 1842. Appointed an Inspector in the Department of Science and Art in 1857, subsequently becoming its architect and engineer. British architect.
