Note: Domažlice is a town in southern Western Bohemia in the Czech Republic, on the border of western Germany. It is noted for the famous battle of 1431 during the Hussite Crusade when Catholic Crusaders were defeated nearby. The modern town is known for its 12th and 13th century buildings, particularly the castle. Its 2003 estimated population was 11,000. |
