Note: Ancient Late Bronze Age kingdom or federation; situated somewhere in the Eastern Mediterranean, probably on the island of Cyprus. It is known from texts written in Egyptian, Hittite, Akkadian, Mycenean (Linear B), and Ugaritic. It apparently flourished 16th-13th century BCE. Its capital probably was in the mountainous interior of the island. It is unknown what extent of the island comprised the ancient kingdom, possibly the entire island.
