Note: Karnobat is a town in the province of Burgas in east-central Bulgaria. It was first settled in prehistoric times ca. 6000 BCE. The modern town serves as an important railway junction. It is famous for its local breed of sheep that produces particularly fine wool, and for Sungulare muscatel wine, named for the nearby village of Sungulare.
