Note: Archaeological site in Upper Galilee containing remains of early hominins; the skull is today known as the "Galilee skull" and "Galilee Man," which was originally attributed to a Mousterian (Neanderthal) level. However, it is now held to be from the earlier Acheulo-Yabrudian complex, with taxonomy consistent with Homo heidelbergensis.
