Note: Territories in what is now south India and Sri Lanka, ruled by the Pandyan dynasty, mentioned by Greek authors as early as the 4th century BCE. Revived in the 7th century, operating from Madurai. Internal fighting and invasions from the 12th century onwards led to its demise.
