Note: Cave dwelling in several voluminous, high-ceilinged chambers. Located on the island of Borneo, near Niah and 10 miles inland from the South China Sea. Other caves exist in the area. Remains in the Niah Great Cave date as early as ca. 40,000 years ago; among artifacts are Pleistocene chopping tools and flakes, and various Neolithic and Bronze Age remains.
