Note: Located near Peterborough. Bronze Age site dating from 1365–967 BCE. It includes remains of votive offerings and over 1 million timbers that were arranged in 5 rows measuring a kilometer each, connecting Whittlesey Island with Peterborough across the wet fenland. The structure traversed a small island, where ceremonies apparently occurred. |
