Note: Hindu-Malay kingdom, established by the 2nd century, whose territory covered parts of present-day southern Malaysia and northern Thailand. By the 7th century, the kingdom also known as Patani was already regarded as an important Buddhist site and a center for inter-regional trade. Most likely became a tributary to the Srivijayan empire by the 11th century.
