Note: Remains of an Etruscan city that was probably founded during the Etruscan expansion in northern Italy after the middle of the 6th century BCE. Sacred buildings were located on the hill Misanello. The site was occupied by the Boii in the 4th century BCE, but declined. During Roman times there are only sporadic traces of an agricultural settlement. |
