Note: Deserted site at the confluence of the Tajo and Almonte rivers, where a Roman road crossed the Tajo over a bridge. Several piers and arches of the segmental arch bridge survive; some have been reconstructed. It was erected in the early 2nd century CE under the emperor Trajan or Hadrian.
