Note: Kingdom created in 1720 by the Duke of Savoy; the territories were given to him in exchange for Sicily, which was lost to Austria. Includes Savoy, Piedmont, Nice, Sardinia, and later in 1815, Liguria and Genoa. The Kingdom expanded in the mid- to late-1800s to include almost all of Italy. Turin was its capital for most of its existence.
