Note: Vestments worn in some Eastern Orthodox churches as a sign of authority or rank. These are made from a stiff, lozenge-shaped or rectangular cloth, and hang on the right side of the body, below the waist. These may have a cross or other image embroidered on it, and are suspended at knee height by a ribbon attched to the girdle or shoulder.

| Dutch ..... Liturgisch kledingstuk dat in sommige Oosters-orthodoxe kerken wordt gedragen als teken van onderscheiding of autoriteit. Het bestaat uit een ruitvormig, stijf stuk stof dat langs de rechterkant van het lichaam hangt onder het middel. |
