Note: A type of structural lumber product composed of a wood core with several layers of wood veneer bonded to the front and back by durable adhesive known as laminating stock. Glue-laminated timber beams are used as an alternative to steel beams in construction due in part to the relative energy-efficiency of their manufacture which produces far less greenhouse gas emissions.

| Dutch ..... Constructiehoutproduct dat bestaat uit een houten kern met diverse lagen houtfineer die aan de voor- en achterkant erop bevestigd zijn met speciaal duurzaam hechtmiddel. Balken van gelamineerd hout worden in de bouw gebruikt als alternatief voor stalen balken, mede doordat de productie ervan relatief energiezuinig is en er daarom veel minder broeikasgassen bij worden geproduceerd. |
