Note: Tool comprising two sticks with an adjustment mechanism in the center to control width. Their ends are stuck into the selvedge and the mechanism is then locked so that the weaving is locked at the desired width. Sometimes, a needle or hook may be inserted in the selvedge and tied to the frame to maintain width and tension.

| Dutch ..... Twee stokken met een regelmechanisme in het midden om de breedte in te stellen. Hun uiteinden steekt men in de zelfkanten van het weefsel, waarna men de gewenste breedte van het mechanisme kiest. Men steekt soms een naald of haak in de zelfkanten en maakt die vervolgens vast aan het frame om ervoor te zorgen dat breedte en spanning constant blijven. |
