Note: Medicinal concoction of varying ingredients, usually a fermentation of herbs and other ingredients. It was used as an antidote to poison and bites of venomous serpents. First known by the Greeks in the 1st century CE; widely adopted in the ancient world in Europe, China, and India through trade along the the Silk Road.

Dutch ..... Medicinaal brouwsel van wisselende ingrediĆ«nten, meestal gefermenteerde kruiden en andere ingrediĆ«nten. Het werd gebruikt als tegengif bij vergiftiging en beten van giftige slangen.
