Note: Ritual weapons of Hinduism and Buddhism. A symbol of indestructibility and power often depicted as a ritual scepter or club and as an attribute of guardian deities. A vajra is in the form of a club having a head on both ends or on one end; the head is either ribbed to form a sphere or pointed to stab. The term means thunderbolt and diamond, symbolizing the indestructibility of diamond and the irresistible force of the thunderbolt.

Additional Notes:
Dutch ..... Rituele wapens in het hindoeïsme en boeddhisme. Een symbool van onverwoestbaarheid en macht, vaak afgebeeld als rituele scepter of knuppel en als attribuut van wakende godheden. Een vajra heeft de vorm van een knuppel met een of twee uiteinden. Het uiteinde is een geribde bolvorm of heeft punten om mee te steken. De term betekent bliksemschicht en diamant en symboliseert de onverwoestbaarheid van diamant en de onweerstaanbare kracht van de bliksem.
