Record Type: concept
resist painting (technique) (<painting techniques by application method or circumstances>, painting techniques, ... Processes and Techniques (hierarchy name))

Note: Technique or painting on paper, ceramics, or another surface, where the design is created through application of a temporary protective layer of paint, wax, or another material. The surface is then coated with ink, glaze, or another material. When the work is fired or washed, heat or the action of water removes the excess coating, and protective layer has allowed the underlying colors or design to remain pristine; uncovered areas have absorbed the color of the coating. For resist work done on textiles, use "resist dyeing."

resist painting (technique) (preferred,C,U,English-P,D,U,N)
resist painting (techniek) (Dutch-P,D,NT,U)

Additional Notes:
Dutch .....
