Note: Applied decoration comprising tinfoil pressed into a mold to create a surface of lines and patterns that suggest brocaded fabric. Warm wax or wax resin-based paste was then applied to the surface. This resulted in a pattern which was gilded and painted and then roundly cut with the foil. The molded product was then applied to the surface of a painting or sculpture.

| Dutch ..... Aangebrachte decoratie van aluminiumfolie dat in een mal wordt gedrukt, waardoor lijnen en patronen op het oppervlak verschijnen die doen denken aan brokaat. Vervolgens wordt er warme was of een van washars gemaakte pasta op het oppervlak aangebracht. Het patroon dat op deze manier ontstaan is, wordt verguld en beschilderd en met het folie uitgesneden. Het eindproduct wordt ten slotte aangebracht op een schilderij of sculptuur. |
