Note: Military belts of heavy cotton woven fabric with metal fittings to carry equipment in the field, introduced during the First World War and later adapted for civilian use. Also, light cotton belts worn at the waist under military tunics or sashes to which sword slings may be attached, introduced around 1900.

Additional Notes:
Chinese (traditional) ..... 以厚棉織布製成的軍用腰帶,上附有金屬配件,以便在戰場中攜帶裝備,最早於第一次世界大戰中使用,之後則為民間採用。此外,西元十九世紀左右也出現可穿在束腰外衣或綁紮飾帶之外,並可懸掛配劍的薄棉布織腰帶。 
Dutch ..... Militaire riemen van zware, geweven katoenen stof met metalen haken waaraan te velde uitrusting kan worden gedragen, voor het eerst gebruikt tijdens de Eerste Wereldoorlog en later aangepast voor burgerlijk gebruik. Ook lichte katoenen riemen die om het middel worden gedragen onder militaire tunieken of sjerpen, waaraan zwaardstroppen kunnen worden bevestigd, voor het eerst gebruikt rond 1900. 
German ..... Militärgürtel aus gewobenem Stoff aus Baumwolldrillich mit Metallhalterung zum Tragen von Ausrüstungsgegenständen im Feld, im Ersten Weltkrieg eingeführt und später für den Zivilgebrauch übernommen. Ebenso leichter Baumwollgürtel, der auf der Taille unter militärischen Tuniken oder Schärpen getragen wurde, an denen Schwertriemen befestigt sein konnten, eingeführt um 1900. 
Spanish ..... Cinturón militar de tejido resistente de algodón con guarniciones metálicas para transportar equipamiento en el campo. Introducido durante la Primera Guerra Mundial, y, posteriormente, adaptado para uso civil. También, cinturón de algodón ligero que se lleva en la cintura debajo de las túnicas militares o fajas a la cual se pueden adherir las espadas. Se introdujo alrededor de 1900
