Note: Embedded air pockets used as decoration of glass, comprising large, intentionally created air bubbles or tears, arranged in a decorative pattern, often in criss-crossed diagonal rows or spirals. Often seen in the stems of 18th-century and later wine glasses, particularly English.

Additional Notes:
Dutch ..... Glasdecoratie in de vorm van ingekapselde met lucht gevulde holten, groter dan gewone luchtbelletjes of tranen, gerangschikt in een decoratief patroon, vaak als kriskras aangebrachte rijen diagonalen of spiralen. Vaak aangetroffen in de steel van wijnglazen uit de 18de eeuw en later, met name bij Engelse wijnglazen. 
Spanish ..... Decoración de vidrio en forma de bolsillos de aire incrustados, más grandes que las burbujas de aire o lágrimas comunes, colocadas en un modelo decorativo, a menudo en filas diagonales entrecruzadas.
