Note: In general, refers to women's blouses having a center front button or stud placket opening, cuffs, and a collar, imitating the details of a man's shirt; may also have more feminine details, such as puffed sleeves, embroidery or lace, and other decoration. Specifically, refers to a particular type of ladies' bodice of a dress or a blouse having certain man-tailored details, in fashion from the early nineteenth century through the Edwardian period. Formerly the term referred to a similar garment worn by men and boys.

Additional Notes:
Dutch ..... Damesblouses, meestal naar mannenmodel, met een opening met knopen of een split met boordknoopjes aan de voorkant in het midden, manchetten en een kraag. 
German ..... Bezieht sich in der Regel auf eine Damenbluse, die in der Mitte der Vorderseite einen Knopf oder eine Knopfleiste zum Öffnen besitzt, sowie Manschetten und einen Kragen, um Details eines Männerhemdes nachzuahmen; kann auch mehr feminine Details wie Puffärmel, Stickereien oder Spitze und andere Dekoration besitzen. Konkret bezieht sich der Begriff auf eine bestimmte Art eines Damenmieders eines Kleides oder einer Bluse mit bestimmten maßgeschneiderten Details, das vom frühen neunzehnten Jahrhundert durch die edwardianische Periode in Mode war. Früher bezog sich der Begriff auf ein ähnliches Kleidungsstück, das von Männern und Jungen getragen wurde. 
Spanish ..... Blusa femenina, generalmente de estilo sastre masculino, con un botón en la parte central delantera o una abertura de bolsillo reforzada, puños y un cuello.
