Note: Small vessels with two vertical handles and a thin upcurving spout near the bottom used for drinking posset and for feeding invalids. Typically made of ceramic or glass and sometimes having a cover. Formerly a term used in Britain for caudle cups or other ceramic cups with one or more vertical handles but no spout.

Chinese (traditional) ..... 飲用牛奶甜酒及餵食病患所使用的小型器皿,具有兩個直式把手,接近底部的地方有一個向上彎曲的窄細罐嘴,一般為陶瓷或玻璃材質,有些會附蓋子。此詞彙以前在英國係用以指稱酒湯杯,或其他附有一個以上的直式把手但無杯嘴的瓷杯。 
Dutch ..... Kleine houders met twee verticale oren en een smalle opkrullende tuit aan de onderkant, gebruikt voor het drinken van kandeel en bij het voeren van invaliden. Kenmerkend is dat ze zijn gemaakt van keramiek of glas en soms een deksel hebben. Vroeger een Engelse term voor kandeelkoppen of andere keramieken koppen met één of meerdere verticale oren maar zonder tuit. 
German ..... Kleines Gefäß mit zwei vertikalen Henkeln und einem dünnen aufragenden Ausguss nahe am Boden, das benutzt wurde, um Posset zu trinken und Kranke zu füttern. Gewöhnlich aus Keramik und Glas gefertigt und manchmal mit einem Deckel. Früher wurde der Begriff in Großbritannien für "Caudle Cups" oder andere Keramiktassen mit einem oder mehreren vertikalen Henkeln, aber ohne Ausguss genutzt. 
Spanish ..... Pequeñas vasijas con dos asas verticales y un pico delgado ubicado cerca del fondo curvado hacia arriba, usadas para beber posset y para dar de beber a inválidos. Típicamente hechas de cerámica o vidrio y algunas veces con una cubierta. Anteriormente este término se usó en Gran Bretaña para referirse a las tazas de caudle u otras tazas de cerámica con una o más asas verticales, pero sin pico.
