Lampen met een bak voor calciumcarbid, een reservoir met water en een kraantje, en een mondstuk of brander voor de ontsteking van het acetyleengas, dat ontstaat wanneer het water in contact wordt gebracht met het carbid. De term wordt ook gebruikt voor lampen met acetyleenbranders die met een centrale acetyleenbron zijn verbonden. |
