Chinese (traditional) ..... 指稱一種椅面寬敞但不深、椅背低且無扶手的椅子,起源於英國伊莉莎白女王時期。此一詞彙最早可能為順口稱呼,理由為這類椅子是為了容納一種以環形裙架撐起的寬闊法辛蓋爾(farthingales)裙裝所設計。

Dutch ..... Hedendaagse naam voor een bepaald soort elizabethaanse stoel met een brede maar niet erg diepe zitting, een lage rugleuning en geen armleuningen. De onjuiste veronderstelling bestond dat ze werden gemaakt ten behoeve van de modieuze wijde hoepeljurken die crinolines werden genoemd. |
German ..... Zeitgenössische Bezeichnung für einen Stuhl-Typus mit breiter, aber nicht sehr tiefer Sitzfläche, niedriger Rückenlehne und ohne Armlehnen, der während des elisabethanischen Zeitalters in England entstand. Der Begriff entstand möglicherweise unter der Annahme, dass der Stuhl konstruiert wurde, um die breiten, Farthingales genannten, Reifröcke aufnehmen zu können. |
Spanish ..... Término convencional para un tipo de silla con un asiento amplio, pero no muy profundo, respaldo bajo y sin brazos, originario de Inglaterra en los tiempos isabelinos. El término puede haber sido acuñado bajo la suposición que las sillas fueron diseñadas para adecuarse a los amplios vestidos enarcados llamados guardainfantes. |
