Note: Civilian daggers with guards on the handle formed by two rounded lobes, causing it to resemble a phallus. Appearing first in the 13th century, they were in wide use until the 17th century, particularly in Flanders, England, and Scotland.

Chinese (traditional) ..... 一般民用的匕首,匕柄形似陽物符號,有兩個圓形瓣狀物形成護手,柄端則有塑形的金屬墊圈加以強化。在十三世紀時首度出現,直到十七世紀仍廣為使用,特別是在法蘭德斯、英格蘭以及蘇格蘭等地。 
Dutch ..... Civiele dolken, waarvan de stootplaat bestaat uit twee kogelvormige uitsteeksels, die één geheel met de greep vormen, en zo een fallussymbool zijn; voor het eerst vervaardigd in de 13e eeuw en tot de 17e eeuw algemeen voorkomend, vooral in Vlaanderen, Engeland en Schotland. 
Spanish ..... Cuchillos usados por civiles con una empuñadura parecida a un símbolo fálico, y una guarnición formada por dos lóbulos redondos y reforzada encima con una arandela adaptada de metal. Aparecieron primero en el siglo XIII, se usaron ampliamente hasta el siglo XVII, particularmente en Flandes, Inglaterra y Escocia.
