Note: Tools with a long steel bit used for boring holes. Examples are carpenter's tools for boring holes in wood, etc., having a long pointed shank with a cutting edge and a screw point, and a handle fixed at right angles to the top of the shank, by means of which the tool is worked round with both hands.

Additional Notes:

Dutch ..... Handgereedschap met een lang, stalen boorijzer, waarvan de diameter meestal niet breder is dan 2.54 centimeter, met een houten handvat dat meestal verticaal is gezet ten opzichte van het boorijzer. Wordt gebruikt voor het boren van gaten in hout.

German ..... Werkzeug mit langer Stahlspitze, das für das Bohren von Löchern verwendet wird. Beispiele sind Tischlerwerkzeuge zum Bohren von Löchern in Holz etc., die einen langen, spitz zulaufenden Schaft mit einer Schneide und einem Gewinde besitzen und einen Griff, der im rechten Winkel zur Schaftspitze befestigt ist durch den das Werkzeug mit beiden Händen verwendet werden kann.
