Note: The general name for oolitic limestone found extensively in southwestern England, particularly near Bath, hence its name. It is medium or fine-grained and its color ranges from gray to cream. Bath stone has been widely used since the Roman occupation of Britain and was especially popular for English ecclesiastical architecture of the thirteenth, fourteenth, and fifteenth centuries.

Additional Notes:
Chinese (traditional) ..... 出現於英國西南部的鮞狀石灰岩的泛稱,特別是產於近巴斯(Bath)地區者,故得其名。其顆粒中等或細緻,顏色範圍從灰色至米白色。自從古羅馬人佔領英國開始,巴斯石就被廣泛應用,在西元十三至十五世紀間特別流行,用於建造英國宗教建築物。  
Dutch ..... De algemene naam voor oölietkalksteen die in grote hoeveelheden wordt gevonden in Zuidwest-Engeland, met name in de buurt van Bath (vandaar de naam). Het is middel- of fijnkorrelig en de kleur varieert van grijs tot crème. Bathsteen wordt algemeen gebruikt sinds de Romeinse bezetting van Groot-Brittannië en is vooral veel gebruikt in de Engelse kerkelijke architectuur van de 13de, 14de en 15de eeuw. 
Spanish ..... Nombre general de la caliza oolítica que se encuentra en muchos lugares del sudoeste de Inglaterra, en particular cerca de Bath, de donde proviene su nombre. De granos medios o finos, su color varía de gris a crema. La piedra de Bath ha sido utilizada ampliamente desde la ocupación romana de Britania y fue especialmente popular en la arquitectura eclesiástica inglesa de los siglos XIII, XIV y XV.
