Note: Extinct order of two or three families, ten or more genera of small to moderately large terrestrial reptiles, ranging in appearance from lizard-like to sprawl-limbed and cow-like. They had dermal sculpturing of large tuberosities and deep pits on skull, well developed limbs, often possessing a robust limb and trunk skeleton. |

Dutch ..... Uitgestorven orde van twee of drie families en tien of meer genera van middelgrote landreptielen. De vorm varieerde van hagedisachtig tot koeachtig en sommige soorten hadden uitgespreide ledematen. Op hun huid groeiden grote knobbels en in de schedel zaten diepe putten. De ledematen waren stevig en goed ontwikkeld en vaak hadden de dieren een robuust skelet. |
