Note: Very large cylindrical beakers or steins, usually made of glass but also ceramic or metal, often decorated with enamel or engraving. They were used for drinking beer and wine, made in Germany from the 16th century onwards.

Additional Notes:
Chinese (traditional) ..... 十六世紀以降,德國製造之圓柱形大酒杯,通常以玻璃製成,沒有把手,有時飾以琺瑯或雕刻,用於飲用啤酒與葡萄酒。無十六世紀中期之前的大玻璃杯倖存。最佳的典範產自德國南方,但無法追溯出其製造者。 
Dutch ..... Grote cilindervormige drinkbekers, gewoonlijk van glas, zonder handvat, soms versierd met glazuur of gravering; gebruikt voor het drinken van bier en gemaakt in Duitsland vanaf de 16de eeuw. Er zijn geen exemplaren van hompen daterend van vóór het midden van de 16de eeuw bewaard gebleven. De fraaiste voorbeelden zijn afkomstig uit Zuid-Duitsland, maar kunnen niet aan een bepaalde maker worden toegeschreven. 
Spanish ..... Vaso grande y cilíndrico generalmente de vidrio, sin asa, y algunas veces decorado con esmalte o grabado, usado para beber cerveza y fabricado en Alemania a partir del siglo XVI.
