Note: Refers to the style associated with the Flores region in Indonesia. The style features shell and bone carvings, elaborate beadwork, and gilded, gem-encrusted jewelry. The style also incorporates non-indigenous materials such as glass and coral beads into native designs. Head and neck ornaments were often cast in the lost-wax method and depicted motifs of buffalo heads and horns. Monumental sculpture in this style is heavily influenced by religion and features sacrificial altars and sacred megalith structures as well as menhirs, dolmens, and terraced burial mounds. With the introduction of Hinduism and Buddhism, monumental sculpture developed into symbols of Buddha and Shiva. In sculpture, the style reveals a strong wood-carving tradition in which the representation of a mythical dragon-serpent exists as a dominant ornamental and protective symbol.

| Dutch ..... Verwijst naar de stijl die in verband wordt gebracht met de regio Flores in Indonesië. De stijl wordt gekenmerkt door bewerkte schelpen en botten, gedetailleerd kraalwerk en vergulde, met edelstenen bezette sieraden. Bij deze stijl worden ook niet-inheemse materialen zoals glas en koraalkralen toegepast in inheemse ontwerpen. Hoofd- en halssieraden worden vaak gegoten met het verlorenwasgietprocedé, en versierd met motieven van buffelkoppen en -hoorns. Monumentale beeldhouwwerken in deze stijl dragen sterke religieuze invloeden, met offeraltaren en heilige megalietstructuren, menhirs, dolmens en terrasvormige grafheuvels. Na de introductie van het hindoeïsme en het boeddhisme werden in de monumentale beeldhouwkunst ook symbolen van Boeddha en Shiva gebruikt. In de beeldhouwkunst in deze stijl bestaat een sterke houtsnijwerktraditie, waarbij vaak een mythische draak-slang wordt afgebeeld ter versiering en als symbool van bescherming. |
| Spanish ..... Se refiere al estilo asociado con la región de Flores en Indonesia. El estilo presenta tallado de concha y hueso, elaborads abalorios y joyas doradas, con incrustaciones de piedras preciosas. El estilo también incorpora materiales no-indígenas como vidrio y cuentas de coral en los diseños nativos. Ornamentos para la cabeza y el cuello fueron a menudo vaciados por el método de cera perdida representando cabezas de búfalo y cuernos. La escultura monumental en este estilo es fuertemente influenciada por la religión y presenta altares de sacrificio y estructuras megalíticas sagradas así como menhires, dólmenes y montículos de entierro escalonados. Con la introducción del Hinduismo y el Budismo, la escultura monumental evolucionó en símbolos de Buda y Shiva.
