| Dutch ..... Oorspronkelijk onderdeel van het avondmaalsstel en bedoeld om bij aanvang van het avondmaal de avondmaalsbriefjes te deponeren, die door de ouderlingen waren verstrekt aan diegenen die mochten deelnemen aan het avondmaal. Na de afschaffing van deze briefjes werd de vaas gebruikt voor offergeld van de avondmaalsgangers. De offervaas is soms voorzien van een deksel met gleuf, soms voorzien van een zakje dat in de opening hangt om het rinkelen van het geld tegen te gaan en het gecollecteerde geld eenvoudig uit te nemen. Voor de voorwerpen waarmee actief geld wordt ingezameld, wordt het voorvoegsel collecte- gebruikt, zoals bij collectezak etc. |
