German ..... Gestrichenes Lauteninstrument im modernen Griechenland sowie in Bulgarien und Dalmatien mit einem birnenförmigen Korpus, einer Holzdecke, Wirbelbrett mit hinterständigen Stimmwirbeln und drei Saiten. Sie wird in senkrechter Position gespielt und wird auf den Knien des Spielers abgestützt. 
Spanish ..... Cordófonos de arco, tipo laúd, de la moderna Grecia, Bulgaria y Dalmacia, con un cuerpo en forma de pera, un vientre de madera, una clavijero de disco con clavijas en la parte posterior, y tres cuerdas. Se tocan en posición vertical descansando sobre las rodillas del ejecutante.
