Note: Gauntlets consisting of a tubular plate cuff, a single plate or several articulated lames covering the back of the hand, and lames covering the fingers, with only the thumb being allowed independent movement. Dutch ..... Pantserhandschoenen die bestaan uit een kokervormige pantsermanchet, een enkele plaat of verscheidene scharnierende harnasplaatjes die de rug van de hand bedekken en harnasplaatjes die de vingers bedekken, waarbij alleen de duim onafhankelijk kan bewegen. Ze waren populair van de 15e tot halverwege de 16e eeuw in die delen van Europa die door de Duitsers werden overheerst. 
Spanish ..... Guantelente consistente en un puño tubular, una placa simple o varias láminas articuladas que cubren la parte trasera de la mano, y láminas que cubren los dedos, permitiéndole únicamente al pulgar independencia de movimiento. Fue popular en la Europa dominada por los germanos desde el siglo XV hasta mediados del siglo XVI.
