Note: Kazak rugs named after the historical province Loru Pambak, a mountainous region of Armenia that borders Georgia in the western Caucasus. Since ca. 1800, the rugs have been largely produced by Armenians living in this area, although earlier examples may have originated with the Persian Lori or Azeri. The style is distinguished by a central medallion containing a rough cross-shape in which two opposing arms are square with zigzag terminations, and the other two arms are stylized tulips.

| Dutch ..... Wollen tapijten, genoemd naar de historische provincie Lori Pambak, een bergachtige regio van Armenië die grenst aan Georgië, in de westelijke Kaukasus. Sinds ongeveer 1800 worden de tapijten voornamelijk geproduceerd door Armeniërs die in dit gebied wonen, hoewel er mogelijk vroegere voorbeelden van dergelijke tapijten zijn van Perzische Lori's of Azeri's. De stijl wordt gekenmerkt door een medaillon in het midden met een grove kruisvorm. Twee tegenover elkaar liggende armen van dat kruis zijn vierkant en hebben een zigzaggend uiteinde, de andere twee zijn gestileerde tulpen. |
