Note: Translucent porcelain plaques produced from 1830 to ca. 1900, most in Germany by the Royal Porcelain Manufactory in Berlin and by Meissen, and in England by Minton and Copeland. Relief molds of decorative motifs, usually based on paintings, were impressed into hard-paste porcelain while in its soft state so that after firing the image would be visible by transmitting light through the plate. These objects were typically hung in windows, placed on stands as screens, or incorporated into lamp shades. The process was invented by Baron Paul de Bourgoing and patented in France in 1827.

Chinese (traditional) ..... 自西元1830年至1900年前後所製作出來的半透明瓷雕飾板,多由位於柏林的德國皇家瓷器製造場、麥森瓷器公司(Meissen)及位於英格蘭的明頓(Minton)、柯普蘭(Copeland)兩家瓷器公司所製。其作法是將通常以繪畫為構圖基礎的裝飾性浮雕,壓印於仍處於柔軟狀態的硬濕黏土上,以便讓圖像在燒製完成之後,透過穿越飾板所投射出的光線而顯現出來。這些物件通常多懸吊於窗戶上、置於基座上做為屏風,或與燈罩結合。此製作過程是由保羅‧迪‧波格因男爵於西元1827年所發明,並且獲得專利。 
Dutch ..... Doorzichtige porseleinen platen die van 1830 tot circa 1900 werden geproduceerd, met name in Duitsland ��� door de Koninklijke Porseleinfabriek in Berlijn en door Meissen ��� en in Engeland door Minton en Copeland. Men maakte een afdruk in reliëf van decoratieve motieven, gewoonlijk gebaseerd op schilderijen, in hard porselein wanneer het nog zacht was, dus voor het bakken. De afbeelding werd zichtbaar als men de plaat aan de achterkant verlichtte. Ze werden opgehangen in raamkozijnen of op een standaard geplaatst om als scherm te gebruiken. Ook werden ze verwerkt in lampenkappen. De techniek is uitgevonden door Baron Paul de Bourgoing en in 1827 gepatenteerd in Frankrijk. 
German ..... Lichtdurchlässige Porzellantafel, die von 1830 bis ca. 1900 produziert wurde, in Deutschland meist von der Königlichen Porzellanmanufaktur in Berlin und von Meissen, sowie in England von Minton und Copeland. Reliefformen von dekorativen Motiven, gewöhnlich auf Gemälden basierend, wurden in Hartporzellan während seines weichen Zustandes eingedrückt, so dass nach dem Brand das Bild durch das Leiten von Licht durch die Tafel sichtbar sein würde. Diese Objekte wurden üblicherweise in Fenstern aufgehängt, auf Ständern als Schirme platziert oder in Lampenschirme eingearbeitet. Das Verfahren wurde von Baron Paul de Bourgoing erfunden und in Frankreich 1827 patentiert.
