Note: Vessels partly in the shape of a moldmade head or face. For aryballoi, kantharoi, mugs, oinochoai, and rhyta, the head usually constitutes the body of the vessel. All other parts of a head-vase (except for the handles) are wheelmade. Animal heads are most popular for rhyta while human heads or faces are characteristic for other vessel types.

Additional Notes:
Dutch ..... Vaten die gedeeltelijk de vorm van een geperst hoofd of gezicht hebben. Bij aryballoi, kantharoi, mokken, oinochoai en rytons is het hoofd gewoonlijk de buik. Alle andere delen van een hoofdvaas (met uitzondering van de handvatten) zijn gedraaid. Dierenhoofden werden het meeste gebruikt voor rytons, terwijl mensenhoofden of -gezichten kenmerkend zijn voor de andere typen.
