Note: Ancient Greek containers in the form of a shallow bowl without handles, often with a base whose center is pushed up into the body. It is used for drinking or pouring libations of wine or olive oil in ancient Greek ritual; the libations were poured over an altar to honor the gods or a burial site to satisfy the souls of the deceased. For similar ancient Roman containers, use "paterae (containers)."

Chinese (traditional) ..... 古希臘時代無握把的淺碗形容器,多具有中央處向上凸起的底座,在儀式上供盛裝飲用或祭祀用的酒或橄欖油,可能將奠酒淋於祭壇獻予眾神或於墳地祝願亡者的靈魂安息。若指古羅馬時代的相似容器,則稱為「古羅馬奠酒碗(容器)」。 
Dutch ..... Oud-Griekse houders in de vorm van een ondiepe kom zonder handvatten, vaak met een bodem die in het midden iets omhoog is geduwd. Gebruikt om uit te drinken of voor plengoffers van wijn of olijfolie bij oude Griekse rituelen. De plengoffers werden over een altaar gegoten ter ere van de goden of over een begraafplaats om de zielen van de overledenen te eren. Gebruik 'paterae' voor vergelijkbare Oud-Romeinse houders. 
German ..... Antiker griechischer Behälter in Form einer flachen Schale ohne Henkel, oft mit einer Bodenfläche, deren Mittelpunkt in den Körper hinein gedrückt wurde; er wurde zum Trinken oder zum Vergießen von Trankopfern in Form von Wein oder Olivenöl während religiöser Zeremonien genutzt; die Trankopfer wurden über einem Altar vergossen, um die Götter zu ehren oder um den Seelen der Verstorbenen Genüge zu tun. Für einen ähnlichen antiken römischen Behälter verwende "Patera". 
Spanish ..... Recipientes de la Antigua Grecia en forma de un bol poco profundo sin asas; a menudo con una base cuyo centro se inserta en el cuerpo; usados para beber o escanciar libaciones. Para recipientes similares de la Antigua Roma, use "pátera" (contenedor).
