Dutch ..... Drinkgerei in de vorm van een wijde ondiepe kom met een platte voet; oorspronkelijk van hout (vooral esdoorn) en vaak met zilveren of vergulde bovenrand. Heeft vaak een centrale gegraveerde, geëmailleerde decoratie aan de binnenkant. Geen Nederlands equivalent. |
German ..... Trinkgefäß in Form einer weiten, flachbodigen, niedrigen Schale; ursprünglich aus Holz (insbesondere Ahorn) und oft mit einer Silber- oder Bronze-Fassung. Viele haben eine mittige, verzierte Auswölbung im Inneren. |
Spanish ..... Vasijas para beber con la forma de un bol ancho, poco profundo y de base plana; originariamente de madera (especialmente arce) y a menudo con engarces en plata o dorados. Muchos tienen un grabado ornamental al centro, en el interior.
