Note: Flat-woven rugs from Turkey, elsewhere in the Caucasus, and surrounding areas; patterned by supplementary wrapping wefts. They are typically heavy and stiff; they may be distinguished by their pattern, which is visible from only from one side with the reverse often having threads of yarn left hanging on the back. The technique is one of the oldest known, identified among charred 7th-century-BCE fragments excavated at Gordion, near Ankara in Anatolia.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 來自土耳其、高加索或臨近地區的平織地毯，以夾織緯線技法勾勒出圖案。此種地毯通常厚重而硬挺，有各種獨特的圖案，圖案只在正面可見，反面則可見未收線的紗線。此種地毯的編織方法為目前所知最古老的工法之一，見於西元前七世紀燒焦的地毯碎片，出土於安納托力亞的哥迪安（Gordion），為鄰近安卡拉（Ankara）之城市。 |
