Chinese (traditional) ..... 匕首、劍以及小圓盾上的裝置,通常是鉤、凹口或刃緣鋸齒,用以在劍術比賽時攫獲或損壞對手武器之刃身。西元十六世紀時,會將左手用匕首之刀身單側或兩側刻成鋸齒狀,以達相同功效。 
Dutch ..... Wordt gebruikt voor een verscheidenheid aan hulpstukken, meestal haken, inkepingen of getande zwaardklingen die zijn bedoeld om de kling van de tegenstander in een zwaardgevecht op te vangen of te beschadigen. Het meest worden ze gevonden op dolken, zwaarden en beukelaars. De term wordt ook soms gebruikt voor bepaalde 16e-eeuwse linkerhanddolken met aan een of beide kanten zaagtanden voor hetzelfde doel.
