Note: A soft paper of moderately rough grain that takes and holds charcoal well and is also adaptable to other drawing and painting mediums. It is available in pure white and a variety of tints. The best grades have a high rag content and usually a laid or watermark finish.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 指表面紋理稍微粗糙的柔軟紙張，其沾染炭粉的能力出色，也可用於其他的繪畫媒材。可為純白色或各種色調。頂級炭畫紙成份含高比例的布漿，通常有條紋或水印的表面裝飾。 |
| Dutch ..... Een zacht en tamelijk grof papier dat houtskool goed opneemt en vasthoudt. Het is ook te gebruiken voor andere teken- en schildermiddelen. Het is verkrijgbaar in zuiver wit en een aantal andere kleuren. De beste kwaliteit bevat veel lompenpulp en meestal een vergure of watermerk. |
| Spanish ..... Papel suave de grano moderadamente áspero que fija y mantiene bien el carbón y que también es adaptable a otros medios de dibujo y pintura. Disponible en blanco puro y en una variedad de tonos. Las mejores graduaciones tienen un alto contenido de trapo y tienen habitualmente una terminación verjurada o de filigrana.
